Revision Surgery
If you have previously had successful weight loss surgery, but have now regained weight, you could consider revision surgery.
Clearly, each operation is tailored to the needs of the individual patient, and depends on what type of surgery they have previously had and their current situation. We regularly carry out a wide range of revision procedures
In the very near future I will be offering the ROSE (Restorative Obesity Surgery, Endolumenal) procedure to treat weight regain after gastric bypass surgery. This operation is carried our without incisions using a special gastroscope (flexible camera to look inside the stomach). Here, we reduce the size of the gastric pouch and the connection between the pouch and small bowel without the need for an operation through the abdomen.
After this procedure, patients who were eating too much will again experience early and prolonged satiety with very small amounts of food.
